Step 1

Before proceeding to replace the screen of your Galaxy S8 you must, for evident safety reasons, turn off your device.

To do this, hold down the off button for a few seconds, then confirm by selecting "off".

In order to remove the rear panel of your S8, you must heat the entire panel for 1-2 minutes using a hair dryer.

As the rear panel is particularly firmly glued, don't hesitate to heat the rear panel across the following steps the moment you feel resistance in order to not damage the rear panel.

Step 3

Once the rear panel is sufficiently heated, insert the nylon spudger into the small crack at the bottom right of the phone, then delicately slide it towards the top corner to unfix the right side of the panel.

Step 4

Continue to do the same thing across the top side of the phone.

Step 5

Finish by doing the same for the left side, then the bottom side of the phone.

Once the panel is detached, lift it a few centimetres delicately.

Do not remove the rear panel of the phone at this stage, the cable for the fingerprint scanner is still connected to the logic board!

Step 6

Using the nylon spudger, disconnect the cable for the fingerprint scanner.

Step 7

Next, lift the panel off completely, and remove it.

Step 8

Insert a iSesamo spudger into the top left corner, then the top right corner, and delicately lever it up to unclip the internal frame.

Unscrew the 11 screws that secure the midframe using a cross headed screwdriver. The screws are circled in red in the image.

Step 10

Then grasp and remove the internal frame.

Step 11

Using the nylon spudger, gently disconnect the battery cable.

Use the cross headed screwdriver to unscrew the 3 screws that secure the external speaker, circled in red in the image.

Step 13

Then use the nylon spudger to unclip the external speaker.

Take hold of the speaker then remove it.

The external speaker of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Step 15

Disconnect the volume buttons cable, then the front camera cable, using the nylon spudger.

Step 16

Then use the nylon spudger to disconnect the screen cable.

Step 17

Next disconnect the interconnect cables from the logic board by levering them up using the point of the nylon spudger.

Step 18

Insert the SIM/Micro SD card tray extraction tool into the hole to eject it.

Grasp the tray then proceed to remove it.

Step 19

Insert the nylon spudger into the top right part of the logic board, then delicately lever it up to extract the logic board.

Turn the logic board 90° as indicated in the photos for this step.

Step 20

Keep using the nylon spudger to disconnect the dock connector.

Remove the logic board.

Step 21

Disconnect the WiFi antenna's interconnect cable using the nylon spudger.

Step 22

Then grasp the WiFi interconnect cable using the tweezers and remove it.

Step 23

Next disconnect the GSM interconect cable using the point of the spudger, then grasp it with the tweezers.

Remove the interconnect cable.

The interconnect cables on your Galaxy S8 are now removed.

Unscrew the 4 cross headed screws circled in red in the photo.

These screws secure the charging connector.

Step 26

Using the nylon spudger, disconnect the jack plug.

Step 27

Push the jack plug out of its lodging using the nylon spudger.

Continue to remove it.

Step 28

Unfix and then remove the charging connector using the nylon spudger.

The charging connector of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Step 30

Insert a gTool spudger into the gap between the battery and frame, and then lever it up delicately to unfix the battery.

Be very careful during this step in order to not damage or pierce the battery!

This step can take a long time, depending on the strength of the glue that secures the battery.

Then take hold of the battery using the spudger and remove it.

The battery of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Take hold of the vibrator of your S8 using the tweezers and then remove it.

Grasp the rear camera then remove it.

Take hold of the internal speakers using the tweezers, and then remove it.

The internal speaker of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Use the nylon spudger to unclip the brightness/proximity sensor.

Now remove it.

The brightness/proximity sensor of your S8 is now removed.

With the point of the nylon spudger, unfix the power button cable.

Then delicately grasp it with the tweezers and remove it.

Using the tweezers, lever up the left side of the volume buttons cable, then grasp it and remove it from the frame.
